IMPORT REGULATIONS

– AGE REGISTRATIONS:

A vehicle must have 3 Digit emission code (from late 2004), and ESC (Electronic Stability Control) for particular models of the vehicle.

– STEERING WHEEL:

Right hand drive (RHD).

– DESTINATION PORTS:

Auckland, Christchurch, Lyttelton, Nelson, Wellington.

– INSPECTION:

JEVIC and Quarantine service (MAF Biosecurity).

– EMISSION STANDARDS:

Vehicles must meet up with the emission standards described by New Zealand government as per their class.

– TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

A vehicle imported from overseas should meet requirements of New Zealand government.

The following conditions may not meet compliance with NZTA, if a car with.

• Accident history
• Frame, Body, Structural damage
• Rust, Corrosion
• Tampered Odometer
• Flooded
